Description of Project: BTX is an important petrochemical raw material. The 
down-stream products derived from BTX are widely used in formation of the 
three synthetic materials-synthetic plastics, synthetic fibres and synthetic 
rubbers, organic materials and various intermediate materials. Benzene is used 
in large quantity for processing fine chemical intermediate material and organic 
raw material. Toluene is used to form benzene, xylene, toluene diisocynate, 
organic raw material and some intermediate materials; and used as solvent in the 
spheres of paints, adhesives, printing-inks and pesticides, xylene is mainly used 
to produce PTA and PA and it is also used as low toxical solvent in a large 
quantity. Metaxylene consumption is much less than the others, mainly in 
producing m-phthalic acid and m-phthalic nitrile.

Description of Project: Styrene-butadiene latex is an important synthetic latex, 
and can be divided into S/B latex (styrene more than 45%) and SBR

used in paper coating (copper sheet paper production) and carpet back lining, 
whereas, SBR for manufacturing foam wares and submerging synthetic fibre 
curtain threads. This project tends to produce 50,000 MTY latex with fixed

back lining.
